British Standards Online (BSOL) is BSI’s bibliographic, citation and full-text database of more than 50,000 British and adopted European and international standards.  BSOL will deliver British Standards information direct to your desktop, it is updated daily, and it allows you to download the full-text of any draft or current standard.  Although traditionally marketed to and incredibly well-used by the university’s Faculty of Advanced Technology, BSOL has the potential to add value to research undertaken by Glamorgan Business School.  A recent mapping exercise instigated by BSI indicated that there are many Standards relevant to the curricula of Business Schools in the UK, including:
  • BS 25999 Business Continuity
  • BS 6079 Project Management
  • BS ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems
  • BS 10012 Data Protection
  • BS 31100 Risk Management
  • BS ISO/IEC 38500 Corporate Governance of Information Technology
  • BS 8453 Compliance Framework for Regulated Financial Services Firms
  • BS ISO 22222 Personal Financial Planning

If you have never used this database and/or would like a general overview, please watch this online demo (11 mins 12 secs).
